About The Role

The Head to Health Kids Hub is a new community-based service providing mental health and wellbeing support for children up to the age of 12 years with mild to moderate emotional, behaviour and mental health challenges, and their family.
This service is part of a nationwide rollout of Kids Hubs funded by NSW Health and the Australian Government.
Located in Orange with satellite services in Bathurst, the service uses flexible and creative approaches to improve client wellbeing within a multidisciplinary framework.
As an Aboriginal Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will use your clinical and cultural skills to conduct assessments, case formulation, and deliver treatment programs for behavioral, emotional, psychosocial, and health issues, prioritizing Aboriginal clients and their families.
You will adopt a child-centered approach, extending focus to families and carers, to provide holistic health services in the community.
You will offer guidance to the multidisciplinary team to ensure culturally responsive and safe practices, and coordinate services for Aboriginal clients within the Hub and with external providers.
You will deliver high-quality clinical services and contribute to shaping the future of this new service, building capacity within the Hub and community supports for children and families.
This position is funded temporarily until 30 June 2026, with potential for extension depending on funding.
