About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker with CatholicCare Central Queensland, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, individualised care that places clients’ goals, preferences, and independence at the centre of everything you do.
In this dynamic and rewarding position, you will support people living with disability to live their best lives—safely, confidently, and with dignity. You’ll ensure services meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and care, while fostering a safe environment that promotes choice, control, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Support clients with personal care and domestic assistance
- Promote independence through skill-building and empowerment
- Assist with transport, social participation, and community access
- Administer medication (if suitably qualified)
- Deliver short-term and respite care for families and carers
- Support clients with emotional, behavioural, mental health, and technology needs

What We're Looking For
We’re searching for dedicated, compassionate individuals who are:
- Reliable team players who can adapt in quick-paced or challenging environments
- Empathetic and respectful communicators who understand individual needs
- Skilled support workers with hands-on experience in personal care, medication administration, and behaviour support
- Flexible and resilient with a calm approach to problem-solving
Requirements:
- Certificate III or above in Disability, Aged Care, Community Services, or a related field
- Minimum 12 months of relevant experience
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- Full working rights in Australia
- Commitment to person-centred care and client independence
