The team
The Information and Knowledge Resource Centre (IKRC) sits within ASIC's Registry and Intelligence Group, delivering trusted information, intelligence and knowledge services that support an intelligence‐led regulatory approach and enable confident participation in the Australian economy.
The role
As a Contracts Management Officer, you'll be a trusted business support partner to the IKRC and Intelligence teams, helping drive effective procurement outcomes and strong contract management across the organisation.
You Will Be Accountable For
* Partnering with managers and senior leaders to deliver compliant, value‐for‐money procurement and contract management solutions in line with the PGPA Act 2013 and government policy.
* Maintaining forward visibility of contracts, expiries, extensions and upcoming procurements, proactively working with Procurement to plan next steps.
* Supporting business owners to monitor contract performance, milestones and value‐for‐money outcomes, escalating risks or issues as needed.
* Managing accurate and timely contract and procurement records, including values, suppliers, expiries and variations.
* Coordinating end‐to‐end procurement activities, including approvals, tenders, evaluations, variations and payments, utilising Whole‐of‐Government panels and arrangements.
About You
You're a detail‐driven procurement professional with experience across end‐to‐end procurement and contract management in a government environment. You understand procurement frameworks and probity requirements, build strong stakeholder relationships, and deliver practical, value‐for‐money outcomes. You work confidently and autonomously, communicate clearly, and thrive in supporting business areas to achieve compliant and timely results.
To Succeed In This Role, You Will Bring
* Demonstrated experience delivering end‐to‐end procurement and contract management support, from planning and documentation through to evaluation, negotiation and management.
* Sound knowledge of government procurement frameworks, policies and probity requirements.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and customer‐focused approach, with the ability to quickly understand business needs and resolve procurement issues.
* Proven ability to assess, analyse and resolve procurement and contracting risks, issues and enquiries, supported by strong project management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interpret information, develop clear business requirements and influence decision‐makers.
