Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to lead our team and provide high-level support to the manager. The successful candidate will have strong management skills, ability to think strategically, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the workload distribution and resourcing for the credit card and insurance team.
* Staff Management - Establish and monitor KPIs and overall staff performance.
* SOP Management for credit card and insurance (updates, version control and sign off).
* Management and actioning of ServiceNow Tickets.
* Initiate, participate and lead the implementation of business process improvement initiatives as they relate to FCIT Section.
* Provide high level advice and guidance on policy and procedures, and liaise with other teams in FCIT, across Finance Group and the greater Department.
* Review and update policies and procedures.
* Engage and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to provide the best outcome for the business.
* Action and respond to requests for information and briefs such as audit, Senate Estimates, Questions on Notice and other ad hoc requests.
* Manage end of month processes and reporting.

* Sound understanding of whole of government and departmental policies including Governments financial framework and PGPA.
* Experience in leading a team responsible for credit cards and/or insurance and expense8 is desirable.
