About the Position
The Digital Content & UX Officer plays a key role in shaping CDU's online experience. You'll create and optimise website content that is clear, engaging, accessible and aligned to CDU's brand, while improving user experience and search performance.
Working closely with marketing teams, web editors, designers and developers, you'll ensure content supports student recruitment, engagement and reputation outcomes. Using data, user insights and best-practice UX principles, you'll continuously improve how people find, navigate and experience CDU online.
This role is central to delivering a high-quality, consistent and user-focused digital presence across the University.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
Essential
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in UX or service design, digital marketing or communication, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
* Expertise in SEO, UX, accessibility, and content strategy.
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently
* Proven experience contributing to content strategy, UX optimisation or SEO initiatives from planning through to evaluation.
* Strong collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work across disciplines and contribute positively to team-based and cross-functional initiatives.
* Proficiency with CMS platforms (e.g. Drupal, WordPress), analytics tools, UX/design tools (e.g. Figma) and project management systems (e.g. ).
* Significant written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical or specialist concepts for non-technical audiences.
Desirable
* Understanding of brand stewardship in digital environments, with the ability to apply brand strategy consistently and persuasively.
* Experience leading UX, SEO or content strategy end-to-end, including planning, execution, and measurement.
* Familiarity with higher education or complex organisational environments.
* Project management experience.
* Experience with or knowledge of Artificial Intelligence Optimisation (AIO).
Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 6/7. The base salary will be in the range of $89,487 - $105,992 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $104,699 - $124,010 per annum inclusive of 17% superannuation.
