Job Title: Ecological Monitoring Specialist
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional ecologist to deliver the Environmental Offsets Monitoring Program for the ACT Government. This is an exciting opportunity to undertake project management and stakeholder engagement through ecological monitoring, contributing to restoration and land management activities that improve outcomes for threatened flora and fauna.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver the Environmental Offsets Monitoring Program in accordance with government objectives and policies.
* Manage projects and stakeholders to achieve program outcomes.
* Contribute to the development of ecological monitoring methods and protocols.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective program implementation.
Requirements:
* Prior registration under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required before commencing this role.
* A current manual driver's license is also necessary.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Management or Biological Science, or equivalent.
* Willingness to undertake incident management duties, including participation in fire standby, fire suppression, and fire training.
