Job Description
Rockwell Automation is hiring a Business Development Manager, Large Project Pursuit based in our Adelaide office. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Accounts and Industry, you will lead strategic engagement with BHP South Australia, EPCs, and OEMs. Your role is crucial in driving early engagement, influencing specifications, and securing major project wins aligned with Rockwell's growth strategy in the mining sector.
Your Responsibilities:
* Engage with C-level and senior executives at EPCs, OEMs, and BHP to position Rockwell Automation as the preferred automation and digital partner.
* Lead early engagement efforts with EPCs to influence project specifications, participate in FEED studies, and identify high-value opportunities.
* Define and own the Win Strategy for major pursuits, articulating a compelling value proposition aligned with BHP's operational and strategic goals.
* Maintain a pipeline of major project opportunities with regular updates for internal stakeholders.
* Collaborate with global and local teams to assemble resources for each pursuit.
* Drive adoption of Rockwell's full portfolio, including control systems, digital solutions, cybersecurity, lifecycle services, and remote support.
* Position Rockwell as the lowest-risk, highest-value supplier through tailored, multi-vendor solutions.
* Develop sales strategies and execution plans for qualified opportunities.
* Build strategic relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their drivers and aligning offerings accordingly.
* Provide annual engagement plans with local and global teams.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies relevant to mining and EPC landscapes.
* Maintain knowledge of Rockwell's solutions and industry best practices.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
* 5-15 years' experience in business development, sales, or project leadership within EPCs or mining/resources sectors.
* Proven success in closing multi-million dollar projects and influencing large capital decisions.
* Experience with automation, digital transformation, and industrial technology.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
* Experience working with or selling into BHP or similar Tier 1 mining companies.
