Overview
Production Supervisors | BMA | Various Rosters at BHP. Applications are invited for experienced Mining Production Supervisors across open cut mining assets in the Bowen Basin (Caval Ridge, Goonyella, Peak Downs and Saraji). Roles report to the Superintendent of Coal Production on rotating rosters (typically 7:7 and 6:6).
About The Role
You will be responsible for the management and oversight of a production crew, ensuring the safe execution of the mine plan in accordance with operating standards, procedures and defined processes to deliver optimal production outcomes.
In This Role Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
* Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching the team. Lead by example, support a diverse and inclusive team with a collaborative culture.
* Manage a team of experienced and new-to-industry operators, encouraging the development of skills to support the delivery of superior production outcomes.
* Apply a continuous improvement approach to identify and improve operating philosophy and processes, ensuring quality and efficiency in operations.
* Lead by example, promote and take the lead in supporting and encouraging a diverse team of operators to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment with a safety-first approach.
About You
The ideal candidate will be able to lead positive change and support the continued development of a high-performing team. A strong commitment to safety, compliance with site safety standards and mine working procedures, and ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace are required.
As The Successful Candidate, You Will Possess The Following
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, ability to foster positive working relationships and adapt to various communication styles.
* Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, lead and facilitate cooperation with production personnel.
* Proven ability to plan, organise and coordinate a variety of tasks within a dynamic environment.
* Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SAP and similar systems and databases.
* Experience in leadership roles with strong people management skills.
* Experience working in mining production roles.
* Mining Supervisor Statement of Attainment - G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1, S2, S3).
