About the Role:
You will be part of a close-knit team delivering best practice services in medical oncology and haematology nursing. This involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional treatment experiences for patients.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Attend patient assessments
* Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapies, and blood transfusions
* Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, family, and friends
* Provide comprehensive patient education
* Collaborate with Oncologists/Haematologists and the multidisciplinary team
* Maintain own professional development and set goals to address gaps or desired growth
* Maintain patient and organisation confidence by adhering to policy and procedure
* Contribute to the team effort by assisting with team goals
* Bring a positive, enthusiastic, and 'can-do' attitude to work
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
* Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
* Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers
* Demonstrated clinical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to plan and coordinate the clinical management of care
* Commitment to and involvement in the application of quality improvement and evidence-based practice principles
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team member
* Experience in the field of Oncology desired
