Launceston Conference Centre (LCC) is seeking an experienced events professional to coordinate and deliver our larger events from enquiry through to bump-out. If you thrive on fast-paced, high-touch client service and love bringing complex events to life, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
* Manage large event enquiries, quotes, bookings, amendments and updates
* Build strong client relationships and convert enquiries into confirmed events
* Gather and manage event documentation and requirements
* Coordinate external suppliers (catering, production, hire, security) and keep everyone aligned
* Create detailed run sheets and operational plans (timing, logistics, staffing, room set‐ups)
* Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery
* Roster and brief event staff and casual Event Managers for each event
* Manage live events on-site as required, troubleshooting calmly and maintaining high presentation and safety standards
About you
* Proven experience coordinating and/or managing large, complex events
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
* Commercially confident—comfortable preparing accurate, timely quotes and managing budget considerations
* Clear communicator with a professional client service style (phone, email and face‐to‐face)
* Calm, practical and decisive under pressure
* Strong relationship builder with suppliers, clients and internal teams
* Hospitality-focused with a genuine commitment to outstanding guest experiences
Role details
* Fixed-term role until the end of the year
* 2 dedicated planning days per week (≈16 hours)
* Additional paid hours for on-site event management of confirmed large events (including some weekends and evenings)
* Supported by a casual Event Manager team for scalable delivery
