About the role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Biotechnologist to join our talented manufacturing team. This is a full-time, hands-on role based in our production facility (not laboratory-based), operating during the weekdays with occasional night and weekend shifts, when required.
As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be directly involved in the execution and optimisation of biotechnological production processes, ensuring product quality, consistency, and efficiency. This position plays a vital role in supporting our rapidly growing biotechnology business as we continue to deliver innovative products and solutions to the market.
A day in the life:
· Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure consistent and high-quality outputs.
· Conduct routine testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and final products to maintain quality standards.
· Troubleshoot any production issues and implement corrective actions to minimise disruptions.
· Maintain detailed and accurate records and prepare reports on production activities and quality metrics.
· Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
What you bring to the role:
* Strong technical skills and understanding of production equipment, quality control procedures, and good manufacturing practices.
* Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a team environment.
* Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
* Commitment to maintaining strict quality standards and safety procedures.
* Physically capable to handle up to 20kg.
* Demonstrated ability to learn scientific concepts and ideas.
Nice to have:
* Qualification in Chemical or Biological science (Biochemistry, Microbiology, Laboratory Technician, etc…)
* Previous experience working in Pharmaceutical or Biotechnological industries, with an understanding of aseptic technique.
