About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Integrity Engineer to take ownership of our fixed equipment integrity program and play a key role in ensuring safe, reliable and compliant operations at the Iona Gas Plant. In this role, you'll lead Risk Based Inspection (RBI) activities, oversee inspection programs across vessels, piping, tanks and pipelines, and provide trusted technical guidance to engineers, operations and maintenance teams. This is a senior technical position where your decisions have a direct impact on asset performance, safety and lifecycle reliability. You will have significant autonomy, visibility across the site, and the opportunity to influence integrity strategy in a growing organisation.
Job Requirements
About You You’re an experienced integrity or mechanical engineering professional with strong capability in fixed equipment, in‑service inspection and risk‑based methodologies. You combine deep technical expertise with clear communication, practical judgment and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. You thrive in environments where you can partner with operations, maintenance and engineering teams to solve problems, reduce risk and optimise asset performance. You will bring: A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar), and registration as a Professional Engineer (Mechanical) under the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019.Certification such as AICIP, CSWIP Plant Inspector Level 1, or API 510/570.Demonstrated experience with pressure equipment, piping systems, tankage and integrity assessments.Working knowledge of design standards, defect mechanisms, materials and repair methods.The ability to convert inspection data into insights that drive safe, reliable outcomes.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and Develop Risk Based Inspection Programs Own and enhance RBI programs for vessels, piping, tanks, pipelines and supporting structures.Plan and manage internal, external and CUI inspections.Provide specialist guidance to the Integrity team to ensure consistent standards and quality.Partner with plant engineers, operations and maintenance to deliver safe and compliant outcomes.Perform specialist inspections including PSV and fire system inspections.Technical Reporting & Analysis Review inspection findings and recommend remediation actions.Create and manage inspection and follow‑up work orders in Maximo.Analyse inspection data to identify damage mechanisms, integrity trends and emerging risks.Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Conduct QA during shutdowns, including oversight of inspections and contractor activities.Support fabrication, installation, welding, coating and surface preparation inspections.Maintain vessel and piping registers.Drive improvements in inspection methods, RBI practices and integrity processes.
