About the role

As a Service Technician, you will be a vital part of our team, providing repairs and commissioning services to our valued customers in the QLD region. You will work closely together as a team, leveraging each other's technical expertise and problem‐solving skills to ensure customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the QLD Service Supervisor, this role offers a fast‐paced and varied workload. You'll be responsible for servicing Daikin units in both residential and commercial properties across the QLD region, including troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance. Periodic interstate travel to our Murarrie office is required for technical training and team‐building activities.

• Diagnose HVAC system performance through testing and observation, as per applicable service manuals.
• Generate repair cost estimates as per Daikin procedure, for customer approval.
• Repair or service units to ensure efficient operation. If required, recommend further action such as replacement of units or accessories.
• Liaise with dealers, end users and contractors to ensure satisfactory resolution of issues.
• Provide detailed explanation of service charges and work performed, if chargeable, and collect relevant payment.
• Be provided with specialised training on products and access to experienced technical experts to assist with diagnosis and solutions.

About you

• Valid Electrical License
• Valid Refrigerant Handling License
• Working with children check (or willing to obtain)
• Current Driver's License
• Technical background in HVAC with experience in maintenance and repair (experience on Daikin products highly desirable)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
• Ability to work autonomously
• Well‐developed problem‐solving, teamwork and communication skills
• Pre‐employment medical assessment
• Obtaining a National Police Clearance
