Health Service Manager Level 1 (HSM1) Cancer Multidisciplinary Coordinator/Manager position
Make a meaningful difference in the delivery of multidisciplinary (MDT) administrative care coordination and management working closely with cancer clinicians and leads.
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled HSM1 with advanced administrative skills and a strong interest in cancer service.
In this role, you will provide operational leadership, contribute to strategic service development, and support governance processes to strengthen models of care for cancer multidisciplinary coordination and management. You will be supporting high-quality, patient-centred cancer care through expert MDT coordination and management, strong clinical linkages, and innovative service improvement.

About the Role
As the HSM1 Cancer Multidisciplinary Coordinator/Manager for cancer you will provide administrative leadership and oversight of multiple cancer tumour stream MDT meetings at Royal North Shore Hospital.
Working collaboratively with NSLHD cancer multidisciplinary teams, you will:
* Provide management and development of the cancer services MDTs, that includes governance and oversight of the multiple cancer tumour stream meetings and the reporting of outcomes to GPs
* Strong communication with MDT leads and clinicians.
* Provide oversight of MDT Billing including the optimisation of revenue potential.
* Conduct a gap analysis of the MDT program and opportunities to streamline and automate processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-level administration and managerial leadership and oversight of the cancer MDT program
* Lead and support innovative models of care to enhance cancer MDTs.

What you'll be doing
The Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Coordinator is responsible for the provision of management and development of the Cancer Services multidisciplinary program that includes regular meetings for multiple tumour streams. The position includes the management of MDT meetings, communication with MDT members, ensuring availability of clinical evidences at meetings and recording meeting outcomes with appropriate communication to GPs.
The position is responsible for MDT billing to maximise revenue potential. The role includes project development, utilising the strong relationships formed in the MDT environment to create opportunities for improving patient and health professional outcomes in a personalised patient care setting. The Coordinator will be highly motivated and resourceful with well-developed interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with clinical staff, senior management and external partners in a high volume and high priority setting.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
* Strong analytical skills with demonstrated skills in interpretation of data, advanced skills in Microsoft programs, electronic health records/data bases and oncology information systems.
* Relevant qualifications in a health related field or equivalent work experience with proficient understanding of medical terminology and abbreviations.
* Demonstrated experience in managing multidisciplinary groups.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders.
* Demonstrated highly refined organisational skills and to the capacity to successfully manage conflicting priorities.
