About the opportunity:
The Senior Draftsperson is part of the Weeks Homes Drafting team and reports to the Production Drafting Manager. The key focus of this role is to provide accurate documentation of drawings whilst supporting the wider drafting team. More specifically, you will:

•Accurate preparation of draft sales plans, final sales plans, working drawings and contract plans that incorporates house siting's, floor plans, elevations, internal drawings, plumbing and slab layouts with a focus on quality and meeting expected timeframes.

•Providing guidance to and checking the work of less experienced members of the team.

•Helping assist with workflow allocation in the Drafting Team Leaders absence.

•Interacting with multiple internal stakeholders including sales consultants, estimators, colour selection consultants and compliance teams.

•Production of working construction drawings including reviews and corrections

•Problem solving construction and drafting related matters.

•Identification of ways to streamline our processes.

About you:
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will:

•Demonstrated experience working in a residential home construction producing drawings

•Team focus, and strong communication skills to build solid relationships

•A keen eye for detail and high standards

•Strong knowledge current codes and regulations and understanding of related construction practices

•Proficiency in a 3D drawing program is essential, ArchiCAD experience will be highly regarded in the selection process
