Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Assist with basic food prep tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, ensuring all ingredients are ready for the chefs.
Cleaning & Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment. Ensure all areas meet our stringent hygiene standards.
Stock Management: Help unpack and store deliveries, ensuring ingredients are properly labelled and stored according to safety regulations.
Efficiency: Support the kitchen team by swiftly and efficiently handling tasks, ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen during service hours.
Waste Management: Properly dispose of waste, recycle where possible, and manage compostable materials.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with chefs and other kitchen staff to support a harmonious and productive kitchen environment.
Requirements:
Prior experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in fine dining.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
A team player with excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
