About the team
Our global team is growing rapidly in response to market demands for critical infrastructure to support rapid urbanisation. Capital-intensive sectors such as Transport, Social Infrastructure, Energy & Resources, Manufacturing, and Telecommunications invest substantial sums annually in their projects. We help clients manage risks and deliver more with less, applying digital technologies to improve project delivery and asset management.
Our Australian team leverages industry expertise and experience from some of the world's largest projects. We enable clients to confidently set up, build, and operate major projects, focusing on performance across the entire asset lifecycle through digital transformation.
About the role
1. Engage directly with high-profile clients on their most important capital project challenges.
2. Work with a high-performing team committed to excellence, helping clients improve profitability and performance.
3. Utilize Deloitte’s capabilities in Design Thinking, Digital, Data Analytics, and global consulting expertise.
4. Manage complex program streams and diverse stakeholders through sustainable change programs.
5. Participate in extensive training and development, including international assignments and secondments.
6. Provide team leadership, mentoring, and demonstrate strong people management skills.
7. Contribute to private and public sector capital programmes in the region.
8. Work alongside Australia’s leaders on challenging projects, ensuring a dynamic work environment.
About your experience
We seek an outstanding Consulting Director with extensive assets or capital projects advisory and transformation experience. You will be part of the National Leadership team, with opportunities for growth and expansion.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
1. Extensive consulting experience in Tier 1 firms, boutique strategy houses, engineering advisory firms, or government.
2. A strong background in infrastructure and capital project development and delivery.
3. Experience in major transport and/or utilities projects is preferred.
4. Proven leadership in project teams, business development, and client relationships.
5. Strong analytical skills with a record of solving complex problems.
6. Experience with structured consulting frameworks is preferred.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and mature judgment.
9. Curiosity and proactive idea generation.
10. A passion for team development and self-growth.
