Overview
We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our small, friendly team, working alongside other receptionists. We're seeking an empathetic and compassionate person who has a genuine interest in mental health. The right candidate must be a team player, have a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
We have a team of professionals including Psychologists and Psychiatrists who deliver effective, protected, and evidence‐based health services. We actively collaborate with General Practitioners and other Medical Specialists to achieve a state of well‐being for our patients.
Responsibilities
* Greeting patients, attending to telephone calls, and booking and rescheduling patients' appointments.
* Patient service face to face, over the telephone & emails, in a confidential manner.
* Accurately completing client billing and payments (e.g. Medicare, Workcover, DVA and private patients).
* Document filing, scanning, and preparation of the patient records.
* Adhering to clinic policies and procedures.
* Attention to detail, with excellent spelling and grammar skills.
* Proficient computer skills – knowledge of Microsoft Office, Emails, and Excel.
* Calendar management, including booking patient appointments using Coreplus – cloud‐based software.
Must have a current valid driving license.
Qualifications
* Medical admin experience: 1 year (Required).
* Customer service experience: 1 year (Required).
* Work authorisation: Australia (Required).
* Work location: In person.
* Ability to commute/relocate: Tweed Heads NSW 2485 – reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
Hours
The clinic is open Monday to Friday 0830 – 1730 NSW time. Casual hours available.
Salary
$34.00 per hour – based on experience and performance. Pay from $34.00 per hour. Job Type: Casual.
