MFT Rural is seeking physically fit and reliable Waste Management Assistants to support industrial waste removal services across rural South Australia and interstate locations. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role suited to applicants comfortable working in challenging environments.
About the Role
You will assist with the removal of waste using industrial vacuum equipment in environments such as under shearing sheds and similar structures. The role involves:
* Working in confined spaces, including crawl spaces under sheds
* Physical work on hands and knees, crouched or squatting
* Rotating approximatelyevery 15 minutes with another team member in confined spaces
* Manual handling of equipment and vacuum hoses
* Working long days (approximately 11 hours)
* Regular travel and working away from home, often up to 3 weeks out of every 4 (varies by project)
About You
To be successful in this role, you must:
* Be physically fit and capable of sustained manual work
* Be comfortable working indirty, dusty, wet, cold, or confined environments
* Hold a current driver's licence
* Be able to obtain a National Police Clearance
* Have a reliable, safety-focused attitude
* Be willing to obtain Q Fever and Tetanus vaccinations
Previous experience in waste management, industrial cleaning, agriculture, or labouring is desirable but not essential.
