Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, technically proficient Technician who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, problem-solving, and delivering outstanding customer experiences. The successful candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently to manage and complete installations across multiple smart home systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform structured cabling installations from plans, including conduit work, chasing, trenching, and cable management
* Install equipment in ceilings, walls, brickwork, equipment racks, and cabinetry
* Install, commission, and configure AV and automation systems, including projectors, screens, speakers, security panels, and control systems
* Work collaboratively with team members to ensure project success
* Supervise and support apprentices or junior technicians on site
* Maintain tools, materials, and site cleanliness
* Complete daily documentation and job records accurately
* Communicate professionally with clients, builders, and other stakeholders
* Travel daily between job sites and the office as required
Required Skills & Experience
* Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience
* Confident and competent installer, including work on finished surfaces
* Strong logical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail with clean, organised work practices
* Reliable, punctual, well-presented, and customer-focused
* Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
Preferred:
* A-Grade Electrical Licence
* Security Licence
* Registered Cabler Licence
Mandatory:
* Current Queensland Driver's Licence
* White Card (Construction Induction Safety Certificate)
