Position
Due to growth in the Brisbane region, we now seek an experienced Service Technician Fitter or Electrician with a background in large factory machinery, food processing or packaging or a similar. The role has the below responsibilities :
* Provide technical and hands‑on support for commissioning and installation of machinery
* Fault‑finding on both simple and complex machinery
* Be available for on‑site with when required for scheduled maintenance as well as unscheduled breakdowns
* Make recommendations to customers as to potential upgrades to plant & equipment (to be passed onto sales team)
* Provide solutions that meet customers' requirements and stay within budgetary and time constraints
* Be available to work weekends equivalent to 20 per year - overtime and time‑in‑lieu will be offered

* Salary up to $97,000 / yr (around $49 / hr) + super
* Overtime paid at penalty rates - average tech earns between $120k - $130k / yr

Candidate
This role is technical, fast‑paced and physical position requiring that will necessitate elements of both electrical and mechanical work. The appropriate candidate will have either a qualification as a fitter, electrician or maintenance mechanic. Don't have electrical experience? That's ok All training will be provided
In addition to a trade qualification, this a candidate will display experience working in a similar factory or manufacturing setting with responsibilities including commissioning and installing equipment, maintenance and emergency breakdowns and fault‑finding.
