About the role
C Egan Pty Ltd, (Trading as Ballina Joinery) is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Ballina, NSW on a casual/part time basis. As Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth running of our business.
Expected working hours are 10-15 hours per week with flexible timing for start date availability.
What you'll be doing
* Performing general bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and tax filing
* Previous experience specifically with BAS and Superannuation preparation and submission is essential
* You must be able to independently prepare and submit BAS returns without supervision
* Maintaining an organised filing system for financial documents
What we're looking for
* Relevant qualifications in accounting or bookkeeping
* Certificate III in Bookkeeping is the correct minimum qualification requirement
* Minimum 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, preferably in a small to medium-sized business
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and software MYOB
* Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in MYOB AccountRight only
* Intermediate level MYOB proficiency is required
* Candidates must demonstrate standard MYOB reporting capabilities including generating financial reports and managing day-to-day accounting functions
* Candidates must specifically demonstrate payroll processing capabilities within MYOB AccountRight
* Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
* Ability to work independently
* Good communication
* Australian work rights are required for this position
