About Us
Rambler Media produces high end cinematic, high-quality YouTube content featuring The Cartwrights – a family of seven exploring Australia in their truck and caravan. Our videos combine adventure, humor, and heartfelt storytelling. We're looking for a talented video editor to join our small, close-knit production team and help bring our stories to life.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for taking raw footage and turning it into engaging, polished episodes that captivate viewers. This includes organizing footage, refining story flow, pacing, integrating B-roll, sound, music, and visual enhancements. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and experienced in delivering professional YouTube content from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
* Review raw footage and organize clips for editing
* Build compelling narratives with strong pacing, emotion, and engagement
* Integrate B-roll, voiceovers, graphics, and animations as needed
* Clean and refine dialogue while maintaining authenticity
* Collaborate with the production team on story direction and creative decisions
* Deliver polished episodes ready for upload on schedule
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience in video editing, preferably long-form YouTube content or documentary-style projects
* Strong storytelling instincts and ability to create engaging, cinematic videos
* Proficiency in editing software (DaVinci Resolve preferred)
* Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
* Understanding of pacing, B-roll integration, sound design, and basic motion graphics
Bonus Skills
* Experience with travel or family content
* Ability to implement animation and map graphics
* Familiarity with remote collaborative workflows
