Position Summary
The team is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer with 10+ years’ experience to join their growing project delivery group. In this senior technical role, you will take ownership of process design, commissioning, and optimisation for complex industrial water and wastewater treatment projects. This is a hands-on role working across the full lifecycle—from concept design through commissioning—on multi-million-dollar projects for major mining and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of process design deliverables including mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs;, and equipment sizing.
- Develop detailed process documentation including control philosophies, datasheets, and operating procedures.
- Provide technical guidance during construction and mechanical completion phases.
- Lead commissioning activities including performance testing, troubleshooting, and process tuning.
- Analyse plant performance data to drive operational efficiency and troubleshoot process issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide cross-functional support to project and operations teams.
About You
- Degree qualified in Chemical or Process Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in process engineering roles.
- Proven track record in heavy industry environments (e.g., water/wastewater, mining, oil & gas, industrial plants).
- Robust design and commissioning experience with membrane systems, reverse osmosis, clarifiers, DAF, filters, chemical dosing, etc.
- Comfortable in both site-based and office environments.
