About the Role:
As a Grocery Assistant, you will play an essential role in ensuring our grocery department runs smoothly. You'll assist with stock management, support store managers, and help implement store policies—all while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with daily grocery stock replenishment and organization
* Support store managers with operational tasks and policy implementation
* Manage ordering processes and inventory control (experience preferred)
* Ensure compliance with food safety standards and procedures
* Deliver outstanding customer service and assist customers with inquiries
* Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment
* Collaborate effectively with team members to meet store goals
What We're Looking For:
* Previous supermarket or grocery retail experience is essential
* Experience with stock ordering and inventory management highly desirable
* Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional manner
* Knowledge of food safety requirements and practices
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
* Forklift license is a plus but not essential
* No working restrictions (eligible to work in Australia)
