Job summary
An opportunity to join a growing Privacy team, this role will play a critical role as we continue to innovate and grow our ads business. The Ads Privacy Team is looking for a Privacy Expert to support key, global privacy initiatives, with a specific focus on Asia-Pacific region data protection and privacy requirements.
Key job responsibilities
- Acting as expert for Advertising on Asia Pacific-specific privacy compliance inquiries and initiatives.
- Diving deep into Advertising systems to develop a technical understanding of how they work and current privacy and security controls, and articulate compliance implications to relevant teams.
- Supporting compliance and privacy related initiatives to drive adoption of new policies, and frameworks.
- Developing the end-to-end risk management program from risk identification to executive reporting.
- Guiding senior leadership to balance risk management concerns and risk mitigations with customer experience while developing product roadmaps.
- Driving process improvement and control implementation projects in coordination with the service teams.
- Evaluating known issues and identifying root causes through end-to-end process evaluations.
- Leading global projects to implement standards, tools, and processes supporting privacy and security.
A day in the life
In this role, focused on building up our Asia Pacific region Ads Privacy program and driving global privacy initiatives, you will partner with stakeholders across Amazon to execute a risk management approach, identify risks, and act as a thought leader who recommends and leads risk mitigation strategies with system and product owners across Amazon Ads. You will work independently with the ability to prioritize workloads in a quick-paced environment while supporting multiple, simultaneous programs.

- Experience in data privacy or security compliance in a highly technical environment
- AdTech experience
- Record of delivery of privacy process improvement projects with technology processes and/or major tech companies.
- Relevant Privacy or Security certifications (CIPP)
- Experience evaluating the design and effectiveness of privacy controls.
- Experience in working directly with auditors for compliance assessments.
- Bachelors degree preferred
