We are seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Response Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Trainer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing and delivering emergency response training programs that meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver comprehensive emergency response training programs, ensuring they meet contractual requirements and industry best practices.
* Develop departmental-specific curriculum guidelines that align with national legislation and regulatory frameworks.
* Support the development of assessment tools and processes to ensure ongoing skills maintenance and competency.
* Contribute to the development of training curriculum, learning guides and assessment procedures for emergency response topics at a state and national level.
* Oversight of the Fire Development Program, ensuring successful succession planning for fire management needs.
* Coordinate and deliver formal training across various locations in Australia.
* Support Fire Crews with planning and facilitating team training activities in line with emergency scenarios and drills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Familiarity with firefighting and first aid principles, including knowledge of training and assessment requirements.
* Evidence matrix of skills and competencies supporting a firefighting background.
* Experience in training and people management, with high-risk and diverse emergency response organisations highly desirable.
* Pursuing or holding relevant qualifications, including:
o Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management)
o Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)
o TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Diploma of Vocational Education & Training desirable)
o PUAFIR205 Respond to aviation incident (specialist)
o HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid or higher qualification
o Valid Driver's Licence
