Aboriginal Student Support Role
This role is critical in supporting Aboriginal students to achieve their goals.
We are seeking an individual with strong cultural knowledge and community connection to join our team. As a dedicated and passionate professional, you will support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in achieving successful outcomes by engaging with students, communities, and stakeholders.
Your ability to address non-educational and educational barriers to success for your local community will be invaluable. You will work closely with diverse individuals to plan and implement culturally appropriate strategies, utilising your excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting Aboriginal students to achieve successful outcomes
* Engaging with students, communities, and stakeholders
* Monitoring and supporting students, identifying needs, and making appropriate referrals
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Aboriginality (authorised under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act)
* Certificate IV in relevant area or equivalent skills and experience in administration support services
* Class C driver's licence with capacity to travel for business purposes as required
