TLEA is welcoming applications for a Project Engineer to join our team on a maximum one-year fixed term contract roster, working at our Kwinana plant.
The successful applicant will be responsible for organizing, scheduling, and managing all technical aspects of assigned ramp-up projects. They will ensure that projects are delivered in alignment with committed cost, schedule, accuracy, and quality expectations throughout the project lifecycle, as defined by the Project Governance Framework. The Project Engineer will lead the project through all key phases, including engineering design (FEL 1 to 4), procurement, construction, commissioning, operations readiness, and close-out. Support will be provided by discipline engineers, as well as construction, commissioning, and operations readiness teams.

Profile description:
* Demonstrate personal commitment to safety and the well-being of people.
* Develop the project strategy, project execution plan and ensure project delivery is consistent with that strategy and plan.
* Provide support to the Manager Projects, Manager Engineering, and Lead Project Engineer in coordinating the delivery of brownfield ramp-up projects.
* Lead the project lifecycle from opportunity framing through conceptual study, FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning, operations readiness and handover to Operations.
* Coordinate critical interfaces interfaces between Project's Engineering team, Execution team and Operation teams.
* Ensure successful handover to the Operation's teams.
* Manage interfaces between TLK's ramp-up team and the engineering and construction contractor.
* Oversee procurement of material and services.
* Monitor cost and schedule against baseline with support from the Project Controls Engineer and Cost Controller.
* Provide leadership to align the Ramp-up team with project goals and ensure priorities are understood.
* Ensures governance compliance with the Owner's Project Delivery process, adhering to company procedures and policies.
* Manage relationships and apply 'Best for Project' decision making to deliver project objectives.
* Conduct regular team meetings to review the progress, risks, and issues.
* Facilitate meetings between ramp-up team and key stakeholders in Operations as required to resolve issues.
* Facilitate meetings between ramp-up team and engineering and construction contractors as required to resolve issues.
* Manage project risk through the maintenance of the project risk register.
* Lead the management and engagement of key project vendors.
Essential Requirement
* Tertiary degree in engineering and over five years project management experience.
* Experience in a brownfield project management environment in either the mining, resources or major industrial sector.
* Experience in downstream processing / chemical plants is preferable but not essential.
* Exposure to Australian engineering and construction practices.
* Ability to form relationships at all levels in the project organisation and key stakeholders.
* Familiarity with the application of digital technologies throughout the project phase
* Leadership and stakeholder management experience.
* Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.
Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
