Job Title: Account Executive - Australian National Security and Defence
You will have the opportunity to work with AWS assisting one of Australia's most successful Public Sector technology partners to increase their market share and cloud computing adoption. This role requires you to develop and manage relationships with key national security accounts in Australia, working closely with AWS Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS), Regional Services, and Amazon Security organizations.
About the Role:
This high-visibility position demands compelling executive presence, deep understanding of the national security landscape, and the ability to coordinate complex solutions across AWS and partner organizations. You will serve as the primary point of contact between customers, strategic partners, and AWS leadership teams, providing regular briefings to senior leadership up to SVP level.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive adoption in a defined set of accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets
2. Develop and execute against a strategic plan that leads to the creation and maintenance of a robust sales pipeline including opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new business in untapped customers
3. Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS
4. Analyze sales/metrics data from your accounts to help evolve your strategy
5. Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement
6. Work with partners to manage joint selling opportunities
7. Assist customers in identifying use cases for priority adoption of Amazon Web Services as well as best practices implementations
8. Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
A Day in the Life:
A typical day involves navigating highly secure environments and complex stakeholder relationships at customer sites and collaborating with Solutions Architects to design solutions that meet stringent security requirements. Working in address compliance requirements and participating in classified briefings. A significant portion of the role involves coordinating with system integrators and independent software vendors who serve in the territory. Developing strategic proposals for large-scale migration and modernization programs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
1. 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
2. 10+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience
3. Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. 5+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience
2. Experience developing detailed go to market plans
