We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team at Tradelink in Myaree, WA. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to develop your management career within a dynamic retail and plumbing industry. As Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the store's operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales performance. You will work closely with the Store Manager to maintain high standards of service, manage staff effectively, and contribute to achieving store objectives.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting the Store Manager with the day-to-day operations of the store, including stock management, merchandising, and store presentation
* Supervising and supporting store staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
* Delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers
* Managing cash handling, point-of-sale systems, and financial transactions in accordance with company procedures
* Monitoring stock levels, processing orders, and ensuring efficient inventory management
* Assisting with promotional activities, visual merchandising, and store displays
* Maintaining store cleanliness, safety standards, and compliance with health and safety regulations
* Identifying and addressing customer concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally
* Supporting the achievement of sales targets and key performance indicators
* Deputising for the Store Manager when required
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role within a store environment
* Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
* Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
* Solid understanding of retail operations, including stock control, merchandising, and sales management
* Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and retail management software
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to analyse sales data and performance metrics
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as required
* A proactive, can-do attitude with strong problem-solving abilities
* Desirable: Experience working within the plumbing industry or trade retail sector
