Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, varnish, and other finishes across residential construction and renovation projects. Duties and Responsibilities: Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching and filling holes and cracks Applying paints, varnishes, sealers, and protective finishes to walls, ceilings and other surfaces Measuring, cutting and applying wallpaper or decorative finishes where required Selecting and mixing paints to achieve required colours and finishes Protecting surrounding areas with drop sheets, tape and masking materials Using brushes, rollers and spray equipment to apply coatings Erecting and working safely on ladders and scaffolding as required Ensuring high-quality finishes across new builds and renovation projects Inspecting completed work to ensure consistency and quality standards Maintaining painting tools and equipment in good working order Following workplace health and safety requirements at all times Collaborating with builders and other trades to meet project deadlines Skills and Qualifications: Relevant qualification in Painting and Decorating or related trade At least 1 year of relevant work experience Strong knowledge of painting techniques and surface preparation Ability to work on residential construction and renovation projects High attention to detail and quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and time management skills Commitment to workplace safety standards Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $85,000 per annum plus superannuation, based on skills and experience.
