What You'll Be Doing
As a Men's Group Helper, you will:
* Help facilitate activities such as games, discussions, music, trivia, or gentle outdoor tasks
* Share a chat, a laugh, and build rapport with group members
* Offer support to participants who may need a little extra assistance
* Help create an inclusive, welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable
* Work alongside staff to ensure sessions run smoothly
Our Volunteers will be supported by our Aged Care Team at the home and the by broader Bethanie Volunteer Team. Why This Matters
Men's groups play a vital role in wellbeing—especially for those who may not always seek connection on their own. By volunteering, you're not just helping run a group—you're fostering friendships, lifting spirits, and supporting the wellbeing of men who benefit enormously from connection.
The Best Bit
You'll be part of a relaxed, friendly group where good humour, great stories, and genuine connection thrive. Every session brings small wins—shared jokes, new interests, or a moment where someone opens up and feels seen. You will be guided in your role by the site's Therapy team with ongoing support from our Volunteer Services Team.
