We are looking for a Disability Support Worker for a part-time opportunity for our group home in Hampton East. You will be providing active support and engaging with the home's residents who have complex support needs and behaviours of concern. Experience and care managing behaviours of concern is preferred. Some manual handling requirements are required as well.

You may also be required to participate in daily bus runs, taking residents out to and picking them up from day placements. Shifts commence as early as 6:00am and end as late as 10:00pm. There are four (4) sleep‐over shifts on this roster line.

• Provide quality direct support to service users in line with their support needs, the programs they are accessing, and all support plans including the service users' Individual Plan.
• Increase the service users' skills through independence, personal growth and development through the provision of active support and their enhanced participation as a valued member of their community.
• Implement development programmes and identify and support learning opportunities for clients.
• Assist in the delivery of programmes that facilitate service users' development of social networks and inclusion in community activities.

• Minimum Cert IV qualified in Disability, Community Welfare or similar.
• A current Senior First Aid (Level2) Certificate.
• A current unrestricted Driver Licence and ability to drive a 9‐seater bus.
• Hold or willing to obtain the NDIS workers screening check.
• A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals of people with disabilities.
• The ability to develop a positive relationship with service users and to support their Individual Personal Plan.
• You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be considered for this opportunity.
