About your role
As an Assistant Consultant – Human Resources, you will support the delivery of high-quality HR services to managers and staff across Addiction and Mental Health Services.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Assisting in the provision of HR advisory services to managers and employees across human resource management, employee relations and injury management matters
* Supporting case management activities, including grievance, discipline, performance and industrial matters, under the guidance of senior consultants
* Preparing high-quality correspondence, briefing notes, reports and meeting documentation, including research and analysis of HR and IR issues
* Assisting with the interpretation and application of legislation, awards, agreements, policies and directives relevant to the public health sector
About You
You are a motivated HR professional who enjoys working in a complex, fast-paced environment and supporting managers and teams through practical, people-focused solutions.
You Will Bring
* Experience or developing capability in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Industrial Relations or a related field (public sector experience desirable)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and handle sensitive matters with discretion
* Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to issue resolution
* Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain accurate records and documentation
