The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions leveraging the Snowflake platform. This role involves collaborating and working with client and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, translating them into technical solutions, and ensuring the efficient use of Snowflake's Data warehousing capabilities to drive data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Solution Architecture Design: Design scalable and efficient data architectures using Snowflake that meet business needs and best practices.
2. Data Governance & Security: Design Data Governance and Security policies in accordance with the clients' data strategy and cybersecurity initiatives.
3. Implementation: Lead the deployment of Snowflake solutions, including data ingestion, transformation, and visualization processes.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.
5. Optimization: Monitor and optimize performance, storage, and cost of Snowflake environments, implementing best practices for data modeling and querying.
6. Integration: Integrate Snowflake with other cloud services and tools (e.g., ETL/ELT tools, BI tools, data lakes) to create seamless data workflows.
7. Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for architecture designs, data models, and operational procedures.
8. Training and Support: Provide training and support to teams on Snowflake usage and best practices.
9. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to Snowflake performance, security, and data integrity.
10. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of Snowflake updates, new features, and industry trends to continually enhance solutions and methodologies.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field;
2. Experience:
1. 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Data Architect, or similar role.
2. 2+ years of experience in Data Governance initiatives.
3. 2+ years of experience specifically with Snowflake.
3. Technical Skills:
1. Snowflake, Cloud Data Warehousing, DBT, Data Pipelines.
2. Strong knowledge of ETL, ELT, SQL and data modeling.
3. Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Streamsets, DBT, Informatica).
4. Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) for data visualization.
5. Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with Snowflake.
