What is our Administrative Assistant role?

This is a Fixed Term Part Time appointment until 30/06/2026 at 30.4 hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
As part of the BreastScreen WA Business and Administrative team, the Administrative Assistant coordinates the provision of comprehensive administrative support services to facilitate the provision of state-wide mammography screening. This includes:
Providing administrative support to the Finance and Business Officer and BSWA Management in relation to human resources, assets and facilities management, ensuring compliance with legislation and Department of Health guidelines.
Providing leadership to the Administrative Support team, facilitating and focusing on customer service and quality improvement.
Being responsible for the provision of main switchboard and front-desk services.

The BreastScreen WA programme provides free screening mammograms to asymptomatic women and specifically targets women aged 50 to 74 years, as the scientific evidence of benefit from screening mammography is greatest for women in this age group. However, all women 40 years or over are eligible to attend.
Since March **** more than 2 million screening mammograms have been performed at a BreastScreen WA service.
BreastScreen WA has thirteen permanent screening clinics located at Albany, Bunbury, Cannington, Cockburn, David Jones Rose Clinic (Perth Central), Joondalup, Mandurah, Midland, Mirrabooka, Padbury, East Perth (Mardalup), Rockingham and Wanneroo.
Four mobile BreastScreen WA services visit about 100 outer metropolitan and rural towns every two years. Some towns are visited annually.
The programme is part of the national BreastScreen Australia programme and is governed by the National Accreditation Standards. In Western Australia, the statewide programme is under the jurisdiction of the North Metropolitan Health Service of the Health Department of Western Australia.
Eligible to Apply
