Position Classification & Remuneration: Dependent on Qualifications. Health Education Officer Graduate: $36.04 - $57.58 per hour. Health Education Officer Non-Graduate: $31.51 - $45.57 per hour.
Health Education Officer role within the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) Drug and Alcohol Service, focused on designing, coordinating, and delivering targeted health promotion initiatives aligned with NSW Health strategies to address harmful drug and alcohol use. The role contributes to priority programs supporting population health across the Nepean, Hawkesbury, and Blue Mountains region.

Responsibilities
* Design, coordinate, and deliver targeted health promotion initiatives related to drug and alcohol use.
* Align initiatives with NSW Health strategies and NBMLHD priorities.
* Contribute to population health improvement across the Nepean, Hawkesbury, and Blue Mountains region.
* Collaborate with health professionals to implement harm reduction principles where appropriate.
What You Will Bring To The Role (Qualifications)
* Tertiary qualifications in health promotion, population health, education, communication, marketing, allied health or other relevant field and/or experience.
* High level project management skills with ability to plan, implement, evaluate, and disseminate population health projects and report outcomes.
* Experience working on health promotion issues related to alcohol and other drugs, including engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and disadvantaged groups.
* Ability to establish and maintain strategic partnerships with community, government, and business organizations; facilitate collaborative action.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, group facilitation, negotiation, and computer skills.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
* Current NSW Driver''s licence and willingness to use it for work.
