About the role We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to operate and maintain gas facilities and pipelines on a 2:2 roster. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work at the RNCS and around the Roma area. We prefer candidates to live and work locally but are also open to FIFO / DIDO arrangements. You will play an integral role in the operations and maintenance team. In return, you will receive excellent remuneration and work on state-of-the-art facilities and pipelines across multiple assets in the region. Key Responsibilities Responding to incidents and emergencies Operating and maintaining gas engines and reciprocating compressors Managing high-pressure natural gas equipment and gas quality monitoring tools Maintaining electronic measurement instruments, valves, and mechanical equipment related to gas transmission Patrolling and maintaining the pipeline right of way Engaging with landholders and public authorities Performing various pipeline duties including mechanical work and record keeping Traveling interstate and intrastate as required About You The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification (electrical, instrumentation, or equivalent) and proven experience in operations and maintenance within the gas transmission or processing industry. You should possess: A valid driver’s license Licensed Electrician, preferably with instrumentation and hazardous area qualifications (for E&I candidates) Experience with high-pressure gas operations (desirable) Gas process plant experience Knowledge of instrumentation controls and operations Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office A safety-first mindset We are committed to diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from all backgrounds, including First Nations Peoples, individuals with disabilities, LGBTIQ+ community members, and others.
