Disaster Recovery Specialist Role
We are seeking a skilled Disaster Recovery Specialist to contribute to the resilience and continuity of telecommunications services during high-impact events.
About the Position
The Disaster Recovery Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring readiness and response capabilities for extreme weather events, infrastructure failures, and major service disruptions. This includes developing and maintaining comprehensive incident response plans, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and maintaining incident response plans for critical scenarios
* Conducting thorough risk assessments and scenario planning to identify vulnerabilities in network infrastructure and operations
* Collaborating with engineering, field operations, IT/network operations, and business continuity teams to ensure readiness and response capabilities
* Leading simulation exercises and tabletop drills to test response capabilities
* Acting as Incident Commander during major events, leading management bridges and coordinating real-time response efforts
Requirements:
* 10+ years' experience working in Telecommunications environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills involving managing stakeholders at all levels
* Experience in managing Critical Incidents
* Able to smoothly navigate matrixed organization, seeking consensus and buy-in, and holding others accountable
