About the Role:
This role is part of the Programs team, which oversees government-funded initiatives aimed at strengthening the aged care workforce and addressing staffing shortages in the Burnie/Ulverstone region. As the primary recruitment contact, the Workforce Engagement Officer manages the end-to-end recruitment process, building strong relationships with candidates and aged care providers to facilitate seamless and successful placements.
Please note, this position is full-time fixed term with an end date of 31 March 2028.
You will be responsible for the following key outcomes:
* Sourcing, screening, and engaging candidates for aged care programs, ensuring eligibility criteria and program requirements are met.
* Manage the candidate pipeline, including interview outcomes, ensuring updated records, timely communication, and accurate recording of availability and hiring decisions against candidate records.
* Matching candidates to suitable providers based on skills, experience, and program requirements.
* Assisting candidates through the application and placement journey, providing guidance and support.
* Collaborating with internal teams to enhance recruitment processes and candidate experience.
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements as well as maintain accurate records and reports on recruitment activities for state and federal government reporting.
About You:
As Workforce Engagement Officer for Ageing Australia, you will have background in recruitment and/or sales, ideally within aged care, healthcare, or community services. You'll have a proven track record of managing multiple projects and prioritising competing demands.
You will also possess:
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage candidates and providers effectively.
* Proficiency in recruitment software and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
* Demonstrated success in coordinating team operations within a fast-paced work environment.
* Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to form strong working relationships with colleagues and build credibility and rapport with external stakeholders.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative, develop effective solutions, whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
* High level of competency in the use of digital technology and Microsoft Office applications.
* Understanding and commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, access and equity, Work Health & Safety and ethical working practices.
* Willingness to travel to regional locations, accounting for around 10% of the program duration.
