About the Role
We are working with a great organisation who are seeking an experienced Senior WHS Advisor to join their People & Culture!
You'll be a key member of a small WHS team, keeping the program running at pace during a period of transition. The organisation works across a broader regional council network, offering exposure to a wide range of stakeholders and environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive a Safety-First culture across all levels of the organisation
* Lead incident investigations from cause through to outcome
* Develop, implement and review WHS policies, procedures, SWMS and management systems
* Conduct workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments
* Deliver WHS induction, refresher training and toolbox talks
* Monitor the incident/injury/hazard reporting system and take appropriate action
* Manage hazardous substance registers across multiple worksites
* Provide advice on WHS legislation, workers compensation and rehabilitation
* Support workers compensation, injury management and return to work coordination
* Participate in WHS committee meetings
Ideal Candidate
* Solid WHS experience, public or private sector both considered
* Strong knowledge of NSW WHS legislation, workers compensation and injury management
* Experience leading investigations, audits and WHS program development
* Confident managing a WHS management system end-to-end
* A natural communicator who can engage and influence at all levels
* Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes independently
Desirable: Return to Work Coordinator experience | Cert IV Training & Assessment | Local government or large multi-site exposure
