Our Australian Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. Supported by ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world's most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. And being at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry gives our teams constant opportunities to build on their technical expertise.
The Project Engineer sits within the Capital Projects Group at the Mulwala Facility ensures delivery of Commonwealth funded capital investment project into the site safely and in compliance with relevant statutory requirements.
Working at our Mulwala site on Yorta Yorta land, your role purpose is to -
* Preparing specifications and contracts, assessing tenders and actively participating in the development, implementation and commissioning phases of projects
* Under limited guidance, manage several concurrent projects as you proactively develop engineering solutions, addressing both process and plant requirements within a Major Hazard Facility
* Actively facilitate compliance with HS&E policies and guidelines, coordinating contractors, suppliers and internal resources when required
* Collaborate with other key stakeholders within the Mulwala facility and broader organisation to ensure that you achieve project success
* Maintain an understanding of explosive design requirements, engineering developments and relevant regulatory requirements
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
* Degree in engineering or equivalent qualifications in a chemical, mechanical, electrical or production discipline
* Previous experience in a similar engineering position in support of capital projects
* Well-developed project management skills with a proven ability to manage and deliver technical project outcomes, ideally within a similar high-risk environment
* Strong team skills and the ability to successfully interact with various stakeholder groups
