Job Description
As a Solutions Engineer, you will lead all technical aspects of an Autodesk sales campaign by supporting partners and internal sales teams through direct engagement with end users. You will use in-depth industry and software knowledge to uncover customer business issues and suggest improvements, earning the status of a trusted advisor.

Key Responsibilities:
* Communicate and align customer business objectives with Autodesk technology offerings to deliver effective value messaging
* Facilitate discovery workshops of various sizes to uncover business issues, drivers, and initiatives, using this information to link Autodesk solutions to measurable business outcomes
* Communicate product and workflow features and benefits in pre-sales situations
* Present Autodesk products to prospective customers through engaging presentations, delivered both in person and via web-based platforms
* Ensure datasets and related scripts are prepared correctly according to regional requirements
* Support local user group meetings by proactively participating in local, state, and national industry-related groups. Activities may include presentations, panel discussions, and product demonstrations
* Collaborate with internal Autodesk departments such as BSM, Technical Marketing Managers, and Product Teams to communicate regional requirements
* Help build strategic relationships with accounts and contribute to future sales opportunities
* Serve as a Product/Workflow Evangelist by becoming an expert in the Autodesk product ecosystem. Effectively communicate positive, solutions-oriented messaging to customers seeking the best-fit product for their needs
* Encourage customer confidence in making informed decisions about Autodesk solutions
Minimum Qualifications:
* Degree or equivalent qualification
* At least 5+ years of relevant industry experience in Architecture or Structural disciplines
* Excellent English communication and presentation skills
* Industry experience in Australian or New Zealand projects is desirable
* Strong technical proficiency in one or more of the following: Revit, Advance Steel, Plant3D, or Navisworks
* In-depth experience with leading building design software (e.g., Revit, Advance Steel, Plant3D, or Navisworks); knowledge of building performance analysis software is a plus
* Familiarity with Autodesk Cloud solutions is desirable
* Solid understanding of BIM-based workflows
* Commitment to becoming an expert in Revit, Advance Steel, Plant3D, and Navisworks
* Strong desire to maintain current knowledge of industry best practices, business processes, and technologies
* Proven ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, marketing/sales professionals, and project managers
* Demonstrated capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
* Strong track record of meeting deadlines and taking initiative
* Excellent group facilitation skills
* Willingness to work within the Australian time zone
* Previous experience in technical sales is desirable, though individuals from non-sales backgrounds will also be considered
