Lecturer: Information Technology (Teaching Academic Level B)
* Based in UniSA STEM at the Mawson Lakes campus
* Full-time, continuing position
* Commencement Salary: $112,892 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
About the Role
This Teaching Academic position refers to the delivery of teaching and associated administrative duties within the undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs in Information Technology, with a focus on Software Development and Design. The appointee will work with guidance and direction from other academic staff and undertake duties with increasing autonomy as they gain skills and experience. The appointee will use contemporary professional/discipline-related knowledge in their teaching practice and carry out activities to develop scholarly expertise.
Core Responsibilities
* Under direction, prepare and conduct learning activities including lectures, tutorials, assessment and provide timely feedback to students
* Implement innovative teaching approaches (including face-to-face, online and blended learning) to promote student learning
* Deliver high quality teaching as demonstrated by a range of University-approved data sources (e.g. student outcomes, student feedback, peer reviews etc.)
* Ensure teaching is informed by relevant research and industry practice in the discipline area
* Undertake administrative duties relative to teaching activities of identified courses and programs, including the development of course and program material and coordination of a course, if required, with guidance
Essential Skills and Experience
* A doctoral qualification or equivalent industry experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline
* Demonstrated ability and experience in teaching, including design and preparation of teaching activities and resources in software development and design
* Understanding of and experience in a range of contemporary teaching methodologies, including digital techniques where appropriate
* Demonstrated understanding and application of planning, version control and project management tools
* Experience in System and Software Design, Software Engineering and/or Mixed Reality applications
* Experience in cloud platforms and/or web development
