Equipment Maintenance Operative - Darwin
OEG Group are a large multinational operator in the supply base, logistics space of the Oil & Gas Industry. Our core business is equipment rental such as containers, baskets chemical tanks including chemical handling and storage.
OEG has multiple large rental contracts in Australia so are seeking a hardworking, friendly and motivated individual to join our friendly team located at East Arm, Darwin NT.
The Equipment Maintenance Operative is a hands-on position, and the day-to-day job functions are to assist with the maintenance, cleaning and testing of our offshore tank fleet, containers and other rental equipment to ensure they remain in service.
Responsibilities
* Carry out routine maintenance to offshore equipment as required. Includes but not limited to painting, rust removal, grinding, needle gunning, attaching data plates and id stickers, repairing / replacing door seals and components and any other general maintenance.
* Fitting and lubricating slings / rigging assemblies fitted to offshore containers
* Unloading and loading of containers onto trucks with forklifts.
* Diligent completion of inwards / outwards movement paperwork which is critical.
* Positioning of containers into different work area locations and keeping yard well organised and tidy.
Experience & Skills required
* Previous experience strongly preferred.
* Proficient in the use of forklift.
* Highly developed Mechanical Aptitude with attention to detail.
* Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required to perform daily job functions.
* Australian work rights are required for this position.
* OEG will provide on the job training, but a willingness to work hard and learn quickly is essential.
