Hawks Excavation Vic Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Doncaster, VIC. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and oversight of our civil engineering projects, contributing to the company's continued growth and success. * Roles and Responsibilities
* Assist in planning, setting out, and supervising civil construction projects, including carparks, drainage, earthworks, and excavation.
* Interpret and implement engineering drawings, specifications, and survey data to ensure works are carried out accurately.
* Supervise daily site operations to ensure compliance with design requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
* Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, surveyors, and local authorities to resolve on-site technical and operational issues.
* Monitor site progress, prepare daily site reports, and ensure activities are completed within budget and schedule.
* Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to confirm construction materials and methods meet required standards.
* Support resource planning and cost control, ensuring efficient use of manpower, equipment, and materials.
* Enforce workplace health and safety standards, promoting a safe and compliant site environment.
* Provide technical guidance to site teams and assist in problem-solving during project execution.
What we're looking for
* A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
* 2 years of experience as a Civil Engineer, preferably in the construction industry
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
* A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as needed
