Evoke Living Homes is a well-established, family-owned WA builder specialising in modular home construction. All builds are completed in a purpose-built manufacturing facility close to Perth, offering consistent work, minimal travel, and predictable hours.
Due to a strong and growing pipeline of projects, we are seeking Tilers to join our production team in Northam, WA.
At Evoke Living homes we like to encourage work life balance through consistent hours worked Monday to Friday, although weekend work can be offered if so desired.
The Role
Responsible for completing tiling works across modular homes, ensuring all work is delivered on time and to a high standard, in line with Australian building requirements.
Success in this role will be measured by:
* Quality and consistency of tiling work
* Turnaround times and adherence to schedules
* Attention to detail and quality control
Scope of Work:
* working off plans, measuring and marking surfaces and laying out work
* waterproofing and screeding
* applying silicone in wet areas
* applying adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles to set tiles in position
* using tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes
* ensuring quality of work so tiles are correctly aligned and spaced
* grouting tiles, and cleaning and removing excess grout
* ability to work with patterns and tiles of different composition
* occasional maintenance/repair work including removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning surfaces
* maintaining/cleaning equipment
* maintaining work areas & a neat level of work
* ensure personal time & costs are allocated to projects
* work with the team to consider the forecast of workloads
* work to department KPI's & schedules
About You
* Proven experience in tiling and relevant qualifications.
* Strong understanding of Australian tiling and waterproofing standards.
* Able to interpret drawings and plans confidently.
* Well-organised with good time management skills.
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
* Professional attitude, presentation, and communication style.
* Proactive in identifying issues and working with others to resolve them.
