About The Role
The Prep-Year 3 Head of Curriculum plays a central role in leading high quality teaching and learning across the early years.
* This role supports teachers to deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with P-12 CARF expectations while ensuring consistency in planning, assessment, reporting and moderation.
* A strong focus is placed on early literacy, oral language and foundational inquiry learning, aligning with our school priority of Empowering Teachers and Engaging Learners.
* The HOC provides instructional leadership through coaching, collaborative planning and capability building in early years pedagogy and differentiation for students with disability.
* The role also oversees evidence of learning processes, ICPs, early years assessment practices, curriculum resources and risk managed learning experiences such as excursions and transition activities.
* Through strong partnerships with teachers and support teams, the Prep-Year 3 HOC ensures that every child experiences a safe, engaging and purposeful start to their learning pathway.
