Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Workforce Planner on a contract for 12 months with1x12 months extension option.
**The Workforce Planner will work under general direction to**:
- Assist the Department to align workforce needs with the organisation's business strategy and major program requirements.
- Work closely with major programs to develop workforce requirements for ongoing mission management of programs and projects.
- Identify and provide guidance to managers on issues and gaps in resourcing and develop and implement business as usual and strategic workforce initiatives.
- Support ongoing workforce planning and management activities.
- Develop or contribute to the production of complex briefing materials and workforce reporting, including but not limited to formats using MS Word documents, Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, or similar commercial tools.
- The Workforce Planner must be able to receive general instruction from executive staff and collaborate across a broad range of stakeholders to ensure project scope, plan and deliverables are within the agreed time, budget and quality parameter
**_ Essential -_**
- Experience using contemporary workforce planning practices to develop and implement complex workforce plans for large organisations.
- Experience using tools such as PowerBI for workforce reporting; and
- High quality verbal and written communications skills.
**_ Desirable -_**
- Experience in the Defence or other Commonwealth Government department workforce planning and reporting.
- Experience working within a formally structured program and project management environment.
- Experience in the use of data visualisation tools such as Power BI or similar commercially available tools.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
